This massage takes full advantage of massage’s ability to quiet the thinking mind and put the body in parasympathetic mode. This session consists of mostly effleurage and compression, with some passive range of motion. This massage is for someone who doesn’t need help with pain, but maybe wants to slow down and destress. Relaxation massage is beneficial for those who suffer from insomnia, anxiety, and anyone with a desire to take time for themself.

Therapeutic Massage

This massage is meant for the client with at least one goal in mind. This session can involve firmer pressure, client participation, and a variety of techniques. This massage is recommended for anyone in muscular pain that is below a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10, or who has excess tension that they would like to see change.

Myofascial Massage

This massage is both relaxing, and therapeutic! Fascia is supportive connective tissue, and we continue to learn more about it each year. Frequently vibrant in sensation, myofascial work does not need oil or lotion. It involves gentle slow stretching of the skin, and slow gliding strokes. When one takes a forward fold, the stretching of the muscles is more of a pulling sensation, and the stretching of the fascia tends to be a warmer, more tingly sensation. This session is beneficial for everyone!
